Cage nuts make it simple to mount your server rack equipment and are excellent at protecting your equipment from stripped threads. A cage nut has a spring-loaded cage that contains a regular nut. The cage includes two wings that can be pressed together to make it easier to put the cage nut into a hole that is square.
