Split Pin
Split pins, also referred to as cotter pins, are metal fasteners that come with two prongs. Upon insertion, the prongs bend to support a nut or bolt in place. These pins are made from soft metals like stainless steel, or brass, and are useful in offering a simple locking mechanism. They are usually seen across automotive, machinery, and mechanical applications to prevent any sort of loosening caused by vibration or movement.
